FRANK PITTOORS

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Frank Pittoors is a Belgian photographer recognized for his expertise in corporate, portrait, and art photography. He holds the title of Master Qualified European Photographer (MQEP), a prestigious designation awarded to only a select group of photographers in Europe.

His work is known for its strong emotional resonance, unique compositions, and technical excellence. Frank has a notable connection to dance and art, often integrating dynamic elements and storytelling into his photography. His approach combines technical skill with creativity, aiming to translate client visions into impactful and memorable images.

Frank has always been a creative person. Both his father and his mother were very talented in drawing and painting. Frank also had a talent for art and for technology, which is useful in photography. Together they go hand in hand.

His father taught him analog photography at a very young age. In the early mornings we would spend hours waiting for deer and other animals. The camera settings were analog and had to be adjusted each time according to the ambient light. The large telephoto lens, which my father mounted on a homemade wooden shoulder rest, was heavy and had a cable push-button control. I learned then not only the technique and settings but also how to frame the image, see the changes in light and what was the best position to take nice pictures.

After his studies, he went into marketing and grew as a product manager to sales manager in a large company. In 1999 he started his own company, a wholesaler of technical products, and became a market leader in his sector. 15 years later, he sold his company and went to work as a professional photographer. Not much later, he received the title of Master Qualified European Photographer (MQEP), a prestigious designation awarded to only a select group of photographers in Europe.
